Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or new to the trails\, we look forward to exploring this beautiful area with you. \nWhat to Expect: \n\nGuided Exploration: Led by knowledgeable naturalists\, gain insights into the flora and fauna of the area\, as well as the ecological significance of the preserve.\nWildlife Watching: Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife\, including birds\, deer\, and other native species that call this preserve home.\nScenic Trails: Traverse picturesque trails that wind through old fields\, forests\, and along the tranquil shore of Kangaroo Lake.\n\nWhat to Bring: \n\nWear a pair of sturdy walking shoes\nDress for the weather. Layered clothing recommended.\nWater\nBug Spray & Sunscreen\n\nNo pets/dogs are allowed during guided programs.  \nWeather: This program will run rain or shine\, except in the occurrence of thunderstorms or other unsafe conditions. Please stay tuned. \n\n\n\nThe Guided Stargazing program offers an enchanting blend of education and entertainment\, perfect for those eager to explore the wonders of the night sky. Led by an expert guide\, participants will embark on a celestial journey to identify over a dozen constellations\, several dazzling stars\, our very own Milky Way galaxy\, and perhaps even catch a rare glimpse of a distant galaxy speeding toward us from deep space!\n  \n\n\nAlong the way\, we’ll weave in fascinating tales from both Greek and Asian mythology\, adding a cultural layer to the experience. A dash of astronomy science will also illuminate the cosmos\, bringing the stars and planets to life in new ways. Designed for unaided (naked-eye) viewing\, this program invites you to connect with the universe around you—but if you have binoculars\, feel free to bring them for an even closer look. Join us for an unforgettable night under the stars!\n\n  \nWeather Date: Saturday\, March 29th from 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm\n\n  \nThis program is in partnership with the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society.\nOur group leader will be Jim Gault.\n\n  \nREGISTRATION CLOSED
