Events & Outings
Under normal circumstances, Door County Land Trust would host guided hikes and a variety of events for members and friends. However, COVID-19 has forced us to adjust and rethink how to share these special places with our supporters in the midst of a pandemic. This year we’ve shifted to a model that allows us all to celebrate nature at home, view trails and wildflowers at your leisure, and support the nature preserves and work that helps make Door County such an exciting and special place.
Door County Land Trust has taken a cautious approach to the pandemic and will not hold any group events or volunteer workdays until we feel they may be held safely. We feel this safety precaution is in the best interest of the community, Land Trust members, volunteers, and staff.
One silver lining to the coronavirus pandemic is that it has never been easier to explore the land, wherever you are. This year we’ll be sharing guided hikes via videos, seasonal nature emails, and of course all the tales from the trails that you send us! Make sure to sign up for our member email, follow us on Facebook, or visit our Daily Nature webpage so you can stay connected with the Land Trust and with your favorite preserve!
