Walk When the Moon is Full at Neuman Conservation Easement
February 9 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us for this special invitation for a winter hike or snowshoe adventure at the Neuman Conservation Easement property under the light of the full moon. Experience the magic and serenity of nature at night and listen for the sounds of nocturnal animals. Without the aid of our vision experience how the other four senses become enhanced, and discover adaptations nocturnal animals use at night. This relatively flat terrain makes for wonderful winter walking or snowshoeing, if we should get so lucky! Learn how conservation easements are uniquely crafted to allow private landowners to partner with Door County Land Trust to protect their land in perpetuity.
Trails are relatively flat, easy to traverse, and will cover a portion of the 110 acre property, taking approximately 90 minutes. Participants must provide their snowshoes, should they be warranted. Snowshoes may be rented at Bayshore Outfitters and Ecology.
Free • Open to the Public
