Walk When the Moon is Full at Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Nature Preserve
February 9 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us for a winter hike or snowshoe adventure at Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Nature Preserve under the light of the full moon. Watch the full moon rise over Lake Michigan. Experience the magic and serenity of nature at night and listen for the sounds of nocturnal animals. Without the aid of our vision, experience how the other four senses become enhanced, and discover adaptations nocturnal animals use at night. This relatively flat terrain makes for wonderful winter walking or snowshoeing, if we should be so lucky!
Trails are relatively flat, easy to traverse, and will cover a portion of the 1.5-mile trail system, taking approximately 90 minutes. Participants must provide their snowshoes, should they be warranted. Snowshoes may be rented from Bayshore Outfitters or Ecology.
Free • Open to the Public
